Labi Siffre - Remember My Song

Labi Siffre’s 1975 soul-funk masterpiece combined emotional honesty, reflective introspection and tight funk-soul grooves… At the time it was seen as something of a raw departure from the singer-songwriter’s trademark sound… since then, it’s become a bona fide collectible mid-’70s R&B classic.

It includes the iconic ‘I Got The…’, as sampled in 1999 by Dr Dre for Eminem’s landmark debut single ‘My Name Is’, the affecting title track, and the stunning, visceral ‘The Vulture’.

Labi’s profile has exploded in the US and beyond as the streaming, TikTok and Insta generation have responded in their millions to his music, with artists as diverse as Miley Cyrus, Greta Van Fleet, Lady Blackbird, Celeste, The Courteeners and Whitney all covering and performing his songs, as well as several high-profile syncs (The Holdovers, Bumble, Hacks etc.). Pressed on Yellow Vinyl.
