For the first time ever, experience Marianne Faithfull live, raw, and at a turning point in her artistic rebirth. Captured on October 2nd, 1983, at the Wax Museum in Washington, D.C., this previously unreleased performance documents Faithfull in the midst of her early-β80s resurgenceβfollowing Broken English and just ahead of A Child's Adventure. Unearthed from the original analogue tapes, this intimate live set showcases her striking vocal transformationβno longer the ingΓ©nue of the β60s, but an artist reborn with a voice of grit, depth, and emotional intensity. A rare and unfiltered snapshot of a pivotal moment, revealing the power and vulnerability that would define her later work. Transferred from the original tapes and restored and mastered by Andrew Batt, the recording delivers exceptional clarity while preserving the immediacy of the performance. The limited-edition 180-gram 2-LP set features music across three sides with an etching featuring William Blake poetry on side 4 of the second LP. A true collectorβs item, the package also includes a booklet with newly written liner notes by Andrew Batt, previously unseen photographs and rare ephemera.
